'You're having some kind of crisis.'
'It's called being 50. You must be having it too.'
Fifty-year-old, left-leaning Hilary once protested at Greenham Common. Now, she's struggling to come to terms with the gap between her values and those of her 15 year-old daughter Tilly.
She's lucky to have a confidant in long-time girlfriend Frances (played with sensitivity and comic expertise by Doon McKichan) because she's going to have to take on Tilly's bewildering boyfriend Josh, and his acidic mother and egomaniacal father. Relationships begin to buckle as their problems become more acute.
A frank and funny family drama.
