Aristotle Onassis was in his time the most powerful of shipping magnates. He used his immense wealth to pursue
women, personal vendettas, political influence on an international scale and yet more wealth.

First performed to great acclaim and a sold out run at Chichester’s Minerva Theatre, this captivating new play by
Martin Sherman is opening in Derby prior to the West End.

Onassis is an often explosive account of how those with great power and wealth live lives detached from the moral code and realities of ordinary mortals.
It’s a story about money, sex and power and is inspired by the true story of the relationships between Aristotle Onassis, Jackie Kennedy, Bobby Kennedy and Maria Callas.
